Student Welfare Support Services

The following issues are the types of things students often need to discuss:

  • Cultural adjustment
  • Homesickness
  • Study pressures
  • Illness or injury
  • Financial difficulty
  • Discrimination or harassment
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Alcohol or drug problems
  • Absenteeism
  • Relationships
  • Accommodation
  • Personality differences with a teacher or fellow class members

Location:

The Student Services office is located on Level 8 of the Northpoint Building, across from the entrance to Billy Blue College of Design.

Appointments can be made by phone, email, through administration or via Head Office.

Hours:

The Student Services Coordinator is available Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Christine Miniawy

Christine has a psychology degree from Macquarie University and has had over 5 years of experience working as an adult counsellor. She has also worked as a school counsellor and is familiar with the various issues that many young people face. Christine is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Students experiencing personal problems should make an appointment with Christine, who can talk with you directly or provide referrals to local services .
