Application Process

Step 1: Complete the relevant application form

Australian Students

Australian students are considered to be those students who are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand residents.

Use Australian Application Form.

International Students

International students are considered to be citizens of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.

Use International Application Form.

Step 2: Attach all necessary documents

Checklist:

  • Completed application form
  • Proof of English proficiency (if available) – not applicable for native speakers
  • Academic transcripts (original or certified copies)
  • Design portfolio

For Advanced Standing (PRL or Credit Transfer):

  • Transcripts of previous studies and course outlines
  • Description and references of relevant work experience

Academic transcripts not in English need to be officially translated and submitted with copies of the academic transcripts in the original language.

Step 3: Submit your application

Post, fax or email your application together with the supporting documents to our Admissions Office – see Contact Details

Processing Times:

Applications for our College will be processed within four working days of receipt of a complete application.

Applications with the request for Advanced Standing (RPL or Credit Transfer) may take longer than the standard processing period.

Step 4: Pay the enrolment deposit

An Enrolment Deposit is required to secure a place in the course and, for international students, before an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) can be issued.

      Design Portfolio

Ideally, this should include both computer work and free drawing/painting samples so we can assess your range of skills, but you are welcome to include anything which you feel represents your interests and abilities. For example, some applicants provide samples of artistic photography, ceramics, fashion designs, sculptures or models together with their computer and free drawing work. Choose samples that you think best represent your individual creative ability and interests. The safest and most convenient way to provide your portfolio is on CD.

If you cannot provide a portfolio at this stage, we recommend that you first enrol in our Design Fundamentals program, which will equip you with basic design skills and knowledge, academic English skills and a portfolio.
